If I want people of other religions to consider the message of the Bible, should I be willing return the favor and read their holy books as well? I think it depends on how serious they are and how serious you are. It also depends on what kind of person you are. Not everybody is gifted or called to be an analyzer of other people's religious.   First, all other religions exhort man to reach up to God and grasp hold of Him through their own efforts. Christianity is the only religion where God reaches down to man. Second, other religions are systems of do’s and don’ts to appease God; whereas Christianity is a relationship with God.

The Muslim, on the other hand, believes in the di-vine origin of all the great religions of the world. The SacNd book of Islam declares that God has raised Prophets in every nation to guide the people to the path of truth and righteousness. Being the lov-ing Creator and Sustainer of all the worlds. He can-.   And while there are many facets that separate Christianity -- true Christianity -- from all other religions, the most important is the fact that Christianity's founder, Jesus Christ, has risen from the dead and consequently, unlike all other religions extant, Jesus Christ communicates in the here and now with his followers by his Spirit.

The difference between the religions you’ve been studying and Christianity can be summarized in two words: Jesus Christ. He is the center and foundation of the Christian faith, and He also is the reason why Christianity is different from all the other religions that people follow. Let me explain it this way. Christianity became more popular than any of its rival religions for a number of reasons. First, there were a number of sociological factors in its favor. In terms of competitor religions, paganism was less than inspiring. Its gods were less moral.

In recent years, Christianity has increasingly faced the question of whether or not salvation is found apart from Jesus Christ.

The existence of so many religions in the world, and the unprecedented exposure that followers of different faiths have to each other at this time in history because of the ease of communication and travel, has led many people to ask.

Is Jesus 'the way' or only one of many ways to God. Does God reject the millions of people who follow other religious traditions. Are followers of many of today's religions really talking to the same God and teaching the same basic beliefs.

In this series of discussions, you'll examine what some of the major world religions teach and compare each with the beliefs of Christianity.4/5(1). One should not see the success of Christianity simply on the level of a great religious message; one has to see it also in the consistent and very well thought out establishment of institutions to.

Apocalypticism is the religious belief that there will be an apocalypse, a term which originally referred to a revelation, but now usually refers to the belief that the end of the world is imminent, even within one's own lifetime. This belief is usually accompanied by the idea that civilization will soon come to a tumultuous end due to some sort of catastrophic global event.

Yes. Every holy book in existence has been translated into other languages, usually when first assembled and then again many times through the ages. It is unclear if this constitutes “watering down” the message - many religions relying on a transl.

The Qur'an refers to Christians and Jews as "People of the Book" and calls on Muslims to respect them. In more than one Qur'anic passage, Christian. Christianity is an Abrahamic monotheistic religion based on the life and teachings of Jesus of adherents, known as Christians, believe that Jesus is the Christ, whose coming as the messiah was prophesied in the Hebrew Bible, called the Old Testament in Christianity, and chronicled in the New Testament.

We can no longer afford to ignore the religions of the East—or the West, for that matter (e.g., Islam). These are forces with which we must deal. The Challenge. The challenge, therefore, is before us. How does one argue the case for Christianity, versus other world religions. The primary difference between Christianity and all other religions is rooted in the differences between Jesus and other religious leaders.

Almost no one denies that Jesus of Nazareth was a real person who lived two thousand years ago, so the issue is not about Jesus’ existence. Islamic Beliefs About Other Religions The Qur'an states that there must be "no compulsion in religion." [Surah ] Yet Muslims are not pluralistic in their worldview - they consider their religion to the be the true religion and invite people of all races, nationalities and religions to be part of it.

The message in all religions is the has to do something to make his way to God. Be good, do right, avoid bad, punish the body in hopes of winning God's favor. It is about the good work of man, his efforts, his earning his way to God. Christianity is not about man working his way to God, but God working his way to us, so to sppek.

This book was very informative and easy to digest, while also being respectful of all the different religions and branches of those religions included. I noticed early on that for each section, the language was such that the tenants or stories of each of the belief systems was fact.4/5.

The dilemma of whether Christians should study other religions is a question as old as the early days of the church, and it has come up again and again over the centuries. The gospel is, after all, the only way to salvation (John ; Acts ; 1 John –12).

And God’s Word is truth (John ).Author: Zane Pratt. The clarity found in Christianity and how it is distinct from all other religions is everything written (in it's totality) in His Holy Word regarding Jesus (and there is a lot to that).
